Woman now more than ever are going to college and starting careers. Also, women are starting small businesses and working for their selves. According, to The United States Census, in 2024 40.1% of women had a bachelor's degree or higher. Women own about 44.1 % of small businesses in the U.S., which is more than fifteen million businesses, as claimed by mompowerment.com. With all of these great statistics the outcome of hard work doesn't happen overnight. CNBC says, women hit their peak earning on average at age 44 and up, eleven years before men. Some reasons might be because some women who are mothers might be taking lower paying jobs with greater flexibility until the children are older. Even, if a woman started in a company in their twenties and stayed with that company for years, they would be working the highest position by their forties. The question now is, is it away around reaching the financial peak earlier? Do women have to work harder? Or join the work force or build their businesses earlier in life?
